Aside from the list above, need to decide the wedding date and motif :D

For our motif, it’s OLD ROSE! twice na ako nakapag-secondary sponsor na ganito yung motif, so love ko na ang kulay na to.. :D

Wedding date, first option namin is March, but when we reviewed our finances, hindi kaya gawin ng March, bilang-bilang… kwenta-kwenta ng mga gagastusin…at naging July na nga, medyo hindi agad kami makapag-decide  kung anong date sa July.. :D basta July! :)

The First Step…

Almost an hour staring at my computer screen and thinking of the best one-liner sentence to start my post…  :)

I remembered when I was in college, my professor gave us an assignment on how we envision our dream wedding.  She provided us a wedding template printed in a short bond paper with an instructions to fill-up how much budget are we willing to spend for the Church, Reception, wedding ring etc.  Natatandaan ko lang ang wedding budget na nilagay ko dun was 1 million :D My dream wedding church that time was in Manila Cathedral, for the reception it was Shangrila Hotel Makati.  Other details hindi ko na matandaan :D

When Helzon and I decided to get married, ang dream wedding budget ko ay nabago, kasi wala naman kaming 1M! hahaha :D And it’s impractical para sa amin na budgeted lang ang wedding.  Even the church and reception na Manila Cathedral and Shangrila Hotel dinedma ko na. But the most important thing to me and to Helzon now is  to receive the  Sacrament of Matrimony.  We wanted a simple yet nakaka-inlove na kasal. And we believe na mas mahalaga yung mga susunod na araw after the wedding.

Supposedly, Dec.2011 namin balak mag-settle and we both decided na  Civil Wedding lang, pero hindi stable yung savings namin last year hehe :D We didn’t reach our target budget before December, so nag-adjust kami ng date. And save save save. NO bonggang date and all.  Baka plan talaga ni Lord na wag matuloy sa Civil kasi He wanted us na makasal sa Church. :)

By the way, we do not have dramatic and romantic proposal, kaya wala akong engagement ring. ganito lang…

Helzon: Pakasal na tayo.

Fhe: Ok ka lang?

Helzon: O sige magtanan nalang tayo.

Fhe: Anuyan?! Highschool?

Helzon: Seryoso ako.

Fhe: Ok. Pero gusto ko sa simbahan

Helzon: Magkano ba magagastos sa simbahan?

Fhe:  Siguro dapat meron tayo P100,000. Di ko alam eh.

Helzon: Ah ganun  ba? Wag nalang.

Helzon and Fhe: Wahahahaha!

ang sweet no? :D

September 23

There are two important occasions to celebrate on this day…

First, it’s my birthday! WOOT! WOOT!  :D

Second, it’s memorial of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina

Saint Pio of Pietrelcina (25 May 1887 – 23 September 1968) was a Capuchin priest from Italy who is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church. He was born Francesco Forgione, and given the name Pio when he joined the Capuchins; he was popularly known as Padre Pio after his ordination to the priesthood. He became famous for his STIGMATA. On 16 June 2002, he was canonized by Pope John Paul II.

“freelance”

Last Thursday, April 14, 2011, I was in SM Megamall National Bookstore looking for an inspirational book for Marilyn, when a lady approached me, we had an interesting conversation. And it goes a little sometin’ like this… :D

Do you really love reading Christian books?

Fhe:  Yah…

Are you a Catholic?

Fhe: Yes and I also active in a charismatic community. How about you? Are you a catholic?

Jo:  Yes.  What’s the name of your community?

Fhe:  BLD.

Jo: Ah.. yah.. Sounds familiar. I’m from Bo Sanchez.

Fhe: Ah talaga.

Jo:  What do you do? Are you working on a Chinese restaurant? *natawa ako sa tanong niya, I was wearing Chinese style blouse kasi*

Fhe:  No.  I am working in an IT Company.

Jo: Oh I see.  Where?

Fhe: Ortigas. Ikaw?

Jo:  I’m a freelance. I work in a Multi National Company.  Our company is in US.  What specifically are you doing?

Fhe: I’m a Technical Writer.

Jo:  Hmm.. so ano natapos mo? Journalism? Do you write books? Or nagsusulat ka  ba sa magazine?

Fhe:  Hindi.  I’m a Computer Science graduate.

Jo:  Ah ok, what do you do as a Technical Writer.

Fhe:  I create User’s Manual, and documentation work related.  How about you?

Jo:  I’m *chuva… chuva… chuva.. nakalimutan ko na exactly kung ano siya, pero related in Marketing and mukhang sosyal ang work.*  Are you single?

Fhe:  Yep.

Jo:  Ilang taon ka na sa job na yan?

Fhe:   Almost 5 years.

Jo:  You must be a Manager now.  *natawa lang ako*

Jo:  Is it ok if I get your number? Our business is looking for professionals and we might be needing your expertise in the future.

And we exchanged numbers.

The day after, I received a call from her. She told me that they are interested to have my service as freelancer. Marami pa siya sinabi sa akin, like, since 5 years na ako as Technical Writer, I’m responsible enough to lead and their company is establishing branch here in the Philippines blah.. blah.. blah..  but choppy ang line so hindi ko na naintindihan yung iba pa niyang sinabi :D .  She wanted us to meet by Saturday but since I have a retreat I suggested to make it on Monday (today) after office, and she agreed. She texted me her office address and it is located at 15th flr of Octagon Center, San Miguel Ave. Ortigas.

This morning, I googled the name of the building to search where is the Octagon building in Ortigas located and to my surprise here’s I found out…..

Scam or not, I’m not interested in Networking.

And so, I replied to her that I’m not interested anymore to her offer.
